TOURISTAN invites you on a trip to Chitral Valley Chillam Joshi Festival . For all the intrepid explorers and those interested in sight-seeing, this promises to be a once in a lifetime experience. It starts with the culturally rich and colorful Nagar Fort. We will also visit the Chitral Gol National park and Kailash valley. Our trip is planned in such a way that we can attend Kalasha Community’s biggest festival of the year “Chilam Joshi”.

Day 0:
-Departure from Lahore 10 PM
Day 1:
-Breakfast on the way around Timar Girah 9:30 am
-Drive towards Lower Dir, Lunch at Lower Dir.
-Dinner and Night stay in Chitral
Day 2:
-Breakfast 6:30 AM at Nagar Fort
-Departure for Kailash valley on 4x4 Jeeps.
- Spend time with local Kailasha Community.
- Whole day full of local Culture.
- Departure for Nagar fort in the evening
- Dinner and Night stay in Chitral
Day 3:
-Breakfast at Nagar Fort 7:30 AM
- Departure for Chitral 8:30 AM
- Visit to Chitral Bazar/Sahhi Mosque and Chitral Museum
- Departure for Chitral Gol National Park
- Sightseeing at Chitral Gol National Park.

|DETAILS OF THE AREA|
Chitral Valley is one of Pakistan’s most beautiful places to visit. From icy mountain peaks to rivers to forests, we can find all in Chitral. Located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the capital of District Chitral, Chitral is also one of Pakistan’s most historical cities and a tourist hub. The valley is famous for mountaineering, trekking, fishing and hiking in addition to a number of beautiful tourist spots.
Kalash Valley
The Kalash Valleys are located in Chitral District and are inhabited by the Kalash people, who have customs and language which are quite different from their neighbors. , and historically have had a different religion. They claim legendary ancestry as descendants of Alexander the Great’s armies who were left behind after his campaigns in the area. The Kalasha have a unique culture that has attracted everyone from missionaries to anthropologists to tourists.
Chilam Joshi:
The four-day festival is held in the middle of May. During the festival, men and women meet with the aim of finding a spouse. This festival gives an excellent opportunity to celebrate the beginning of summer and to give a message of peace to the world. During this festival, the people of Kalash pray for the safety of their fields and animals. The people of Kalash adore the music and dance to the beat of drums. Both men and woman share these moments of dancing together during the festivities. The Kalash are for their music and dance festivals
Nagar Fort:
Standing on a ridge, surrounded by water from three sides, it is accessible through a suspension bridge. The Fort has an Outer Gate, houses,an Outer Court, Inner Gate and an Inner Courtyard , number of Gardens and a Tourist Resort. The late Prince Sirajuddin of Nagar was a keen horticulturist and had surrounded his fort with one of the most picturesque gardens, with a variety of fruits. His hospitality made all travelers welcome to stop by and helped bring Chitral a good name. His son Prince Salahuddin has continued with the tradition , infact gone a step ahead to introduce many more varieties to the Fort. A profusion of roses, daffodils and herbaceous plants scent the air. March, April and May are months when the gardens are full of flowering trees and shrubs, while the other months have many interesting delights. Majestic views of the surrounding mountains can be fully appreciated from the Nagar Fort.

Note: -It is advised to carry only basic essentials/amenities on the trip. Items such as Drugs, Arms and Alcohol are strictly prohibited. In case of noncompliance, the person responsible will be expelled from the trip without reimbursement.
-Keep in mind that on adventure trips of this type, weather, local politics, transport or a multitude of other factors beyond the control of organizers can result in a change of itinerary. It is, however, very unlikely that the itinerary would be substantially altered; if alterations are necessary the Leader and Guide will decide what is the best alternative, taking into consideration the best interests of the whole group.
-Use of violent behavior including altercation, insinuations of indecent kind, verbal and physical abuse and assault, aggravated behavior, or any other act amounting to unbecoming of member are strictly prohibited.
-All members would give extra care for the local environmental care .Garbage (tins. Water bottles, wrappers etc) shall be suitably disposed without polluting water sources.
-The host reserves the right to cancel trip without prior notice for any reasons deemed appropriate by them. In such a case the registered participants will receive full refund.
